Scope :
- This course is designed to meet the requirements of Rule II/2 Section A-II/2 Table A-II/2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended.
General objectives :
- The participant must ensure training, aptitude and ability required for certification under the requirements of the Regulation II/2 Section A-II/2 Table A-II/2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers 1978, as amended.
Prerequisites :
- The level of theoretical knowledge, understanding and proficiency specified in the various sections of column 2 of table A-II/2 may vary depending on the degree held by the applicant is valid for ships of gross tonnage exceeding 3000 or for ships with a tonnage between 500 and 3000, as set out in Section A-II/2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers, 1978, as amended.
- Participants must have a Deck officer license or chief mate license and a letter of eligibility for promotion to higher grade, issued by the Panama Maritime Authority.
