Scope :
- This course is designed to comply with the requirements of Rule 3.2, Standard A‐3.2 and Guideline B‐3.2 of the Maritime Labor Convention, 2006 and the International Convention for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, STCW 1978, as amended.
General objectives :
- The aim is that the cook’s sailors on merchant vessels comply with the MLC 2006. This new certificate is issued under Title 3, Regulation 3.2, Standard A3.2, paragraph 1 Guideline B3.2.2 MLC 2006. “Seafarers employed as cook in the merchant navy have practical cookery, food and personal hygiene, food storage, stock management, environmental protection and health and safety in catering.”
Prerequisites :
- A seafarer who has worked as a cook aboard and have a demonstrated as set forth in the section of documentation required for shipping experience. Graduates may also apply for the hospitality industry, specializing in kitchen that have completed studies regulated by a recognized training institution.
