Scope :
- This course is designed to comply with the requirements established under regulation VI/2, paragraphs 1‐4, table A‐VI/2‐1 of the, STCW/78, as amended.
General objectives :
- The participant must ensure training, attitude and ability to take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat during and after the launching in accordance in the table A‐VI/2‐1 of the, STCW/78, as amended, as well as with Chapter VI, section A‐VI/2.
Prerequisites :
- To be admitted to the course, all students must submit a medical certificate signed by a doctor who ensures that they enjoy good health. Also they must have completed the four basic courses on familiarization and basic safety training according to Rule VI/1 of the STCW 1978 as amended.
