Scope :
- This course is designed to comply with the requirements established under regulation VI/2, paragraphs 1‐4, table A‐VI/2‐1 of the, STCW/78, as amended.
General objectives :
- This course is designed to comply with the requirements laid down in Rule VI/3, section A‐VI/3, table A‐VI/3 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers STCW 1978, as amended.
Prerequisites :
- The course is open to seafarers who has completed basic training in fire prevention. All students must be certified by a physician to be in good health. This course is available for those officers on duty who have the aptitude and capacity time required to serve as captains or first officers of bridge of ships of a gross tonnage equal to or greater than 500. Participants must have a deck officer title.
