Scope :
- This course is designed to comply with the requirements laid down in Regulation VI/1, section A‐VI/1 and table A‐VI/1‐2, of the International Convention on standards of training, certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers STCW/78 as amended.
General objectives :
- The participant having completed the course will be able to react correctly to a fire; take appropriate measures for the safety of the crew and the vessel; use devices to combat fire to be found on board. Participant will also demonstrate their ability to establish through knowledge and practice how to identify, correct, and prevent events that can cause a fire hazard.
Prerequisites :
- The course is open to all seafarers and future sailors, and they must be done before boarding, like a professional on a ship of height. All students must submit a medical certificate signed by a doctor who ensures that they enjoy good health.
